SSU classes are offered via email on YahooGroups. Each class can be taken as they are given or "saved for later." This is because, from the lectures and assignments from the instructor to Q&A interaction between instructor and students, all messages come to your email inbox. If you read your email online, all the message will be there. If your email comes in to your computer email program, that's where the messages will show up. And, during the class, you also have the option of going to the Yahoo Groups page to see messages.
Our classes, typically, run for four weeks (there are a few exceptions.) Generally, the instructor provides two to three "lectures" per week. In addition, some classes include homework. Students are encouraged to participate but the beauty of these classes is that, if the class you want to take happens at a time that is not a good fit for your schedule, all the lessons and interaction from the class will be available in your Inbox forever. Of course, if you take the class later, you will not get the full punch of interacting with the other students and the instructor.
